Deborah G. Corlett
Deborah is a partner and business attorney. She emphasizes estate planning, trust administration and probate law. She is a Certified Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law Specialist, The State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. She was born in Santa Barbara on April 5, 1952. She attended Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology in 1974. She then earned a Masters of Arts degree in biology, from University of California at Santa Barbara in 1976. Ms. Corlett taught biology at the junior high school, high school and junior college levels. Following teaching, she was the executive assistant to the owner of Fancher Oil Company in Denver for seven years while also serving as office manager of the company and conducting in-house land services.
Ms. Corlett received her Juris Doctorate from Cornell Law School, Ithaca, New York in 1990. While attending Cornell, she was a research assistant for Professor Jonathan R. Macey from 1987 to 1989, and was responsible for updating the annotation of the Revised Model Business Corporation Act. Prior to coming to O’Brien, Watters, she was an associate with the law firm of Mullen & Henzell in Santa Barbara. Ms. Corlett holds a lifetime California Teaching Credential for Secondary Levels in Biology and Chemistry.
She is a member of the State Bar of California, and the Sonoma County Bar Association. She is also a member of the Redwood Empire Estate Planning Council. She has served on the Boards of Directors for the Windsor Boys & Girls Club, the Santa Rosa Boys & Girls Club and the Windsor Chamber of Commerce and on the SITE Council for Windsor Middle School.
